About the Job
In
this position you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks. You will be responsible for A/P, A/R, journal
entries, filing, customer service, and procedure adherence. Wage Range- $20.00-24.00/hour
Responsibilities
o
Processing
vendor invoices for payment.
o
Answering
phone calls and emails relating to basic accounting issues.
o
Processing
cash receipts including preparing bank deposits.
o
Prepare
and distribute monthly customer statements.
o
Research
accounting discrepancies and irregularities relating to both AP and AR.
o
Creating
and maintaining files of A/P, A/R, and other accounting documents.
o
Daily
distribution of mail.
o
Assist
with collection of past due invoices from local and distributor accounts by
phone or email.
o
Preparation
and processing of 1099 forms.
o
Maintain
petty cash.
o
Process
Monthly Credit Card Expenses
o
Other
accounting duties as needed
Our
Ideal Candidate
o
One-year basic accounting experience.
o
Bachelor of Science in Accounting:
general math or another related field preferred.
o
Knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel
preferred.
o
Professional written and verbal
communication; interpersonal skills; attention to detail.
o
Ability to work cross functionally with
a cast of unique characters.
