About the Job
In this position you will be responsible for all aspects of servicing our chain accounts including sales, merchandising pricing, resets and delivery. You will also be responsible for conducting sales on the North County route, with other accounts potentially being added at any time. You will be key point of contact and responsible for executing events and promotions in the area with peak times coming during the summer months.
Wage Range- $16.25-17.25/hour
Responsibilities
o Service our chain accounts on a daily basis including writing sales orders, merchandising and delivery.
o Introduce retailers to our beers in both on and off-premise locations.
o Understand and embrace the Ska culture and deliver our mission to the retail customer.
o Maintain a positive working relationship with distributors and retailers.
o Conduct sales trips to each territory according to an agreed upon amount.
o Conduct promotions in accounts on an agreed upon basis.
o Adhere to an established route schedule to conduct sales for our self-distribution portfolio.
o Work with supplier’s sales force to manage and increase sales in all areas of responsibility.
o Work to increase sales while adhering to sales budgets.
o Handle customer inquiries regarding product information and other questions.
o Work with the accounting team and Self-Distribution Manager to monitor accounts payable to ensure payment is collected in a timely fashion.
o Enter all sales data and create a load sheet for the delivery department and make the necessary adjustments and the route is completed.
o Make sure all inventory is being properly rotated in accounts.
o Report and/or troubleshoot any draft problems in on premise accounts.
o Communicate any special needs to the distribution department.
o Assist with deliveries.
o Work with the sales and marketing team on strategic ways to increase sales in assigned territories.
o Represent Ska at promotions and events in assigned territories as well as Durango.
o Ability to remain professional in all situations.
Our Ideal Candidate
o Must be at least 21 years of age.
o Two years of relevant sales experience.
o Knowledge of the three-tier system.
o Excellent oral and written communication skills.
o Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with limited direction or supervision.
o Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
o Willingness to work flexible and extended hours (including evenings and weekends)
o Self-motivated and energetic individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and independent working attitude
o Ability to lift 165 pounds
